Upcoming Donations and Other News

Divella Delights is very happy to have handmade hardwood clocks by David Jacques in our inventory. He takes great care in selecting his materials and in his craftsmanship. They come in full size and minis perfect for your bookcase or dresser.
We are also please to announce a line of Crochet hats by Jessy! They are lighter weight than the ones I make so are very well suited to more temperate climates or for a chilly Springtime evening.
My hats have been discovered by a gallery in Portland, Maine and they have requested my participation in their April show entitled " Wearable Art" to open April 4th. If we do well during the show we will be entering the gallery on a permanent basis. We have also been contacted by an organization in Canada for the hats.
I am planning a line of Spring Hats, a blend of cotton for those cool evenings and perhaps some light scarves as well. I am just now in the design phase so I think around the end of the month I should have something new for you.
I have some new jewelry designs on the board as well, very exciting! We did well with the local fine jewelry store this month and our tabling events.

Valentine's Day Hats Already?

Indeed! It will still be quite cold in February so I thought I would make up some Valentine's Day Hats. If you aren't quite sure what to get that gal of yours, this might be just the ticket. I welcome special orders so if you have a color combo you would like, let me know!

Hand Crocheted Hats for $8.00

I took some time out to make some crocheted hats as the weather is changing here in New England. In addition to gemstones, knitting and crocheting is an addiction of mine and one that I enjoy very much. Typically I am in my studio upstairs during the day making jewelry. When my husband gets home I sit with him and knit or crochet while we watch our favorite shows and work on our various projects; he with his wood and me with my yarn.
He will occasionally say to me "Can’t you just sit and relax?" My answer is that knitting and crocheting is very relaxing for me. It is very difficult for me to sit and do nothing; I even have a sock bag so I can knit in the car!
I hope you enjoy the hats and other hand knit and crocheted items I offer as an aside to my jewelry. I love making them! The hats like those pictured here sell for $8.00 n my shop so I think they are very reasonable. I also have some felted bags and other fibre goods in my shop. HUGE DISCOUNT ON BAGS AND HATS

These are just a couple of the bags that are being cleared out during my shop closing sale! I have hats,scarves and other knitted and crocheted times too. ETSY SHOP SALE, CLOSING

OK, so lots of folks have shops on ETSY and they do very well. I have tried everything I can think of and I just can't get the sales so I am closing the shops. Meet My Field Testers

Meet my field testers! With my husband are Ella and Diva 2 of my granddaughters who test all my kids jewelry. Somewhat mischievous and very active as all 5 year olds are, these 2 put my creations to the test. Their mom and my eldest daughter Jessy is wearing one of my felted hats. She also does the trials on jewelry, bags and crocheted items. She is also creative and makes gorgeous hats. I am trying to talk her into opening an ETSY shop. She is a little (a lot) tough on jewelry chasing those little girls and getting into a fair amount of mischief herself. If a design has any defect in it will become eveident when she wears it! The last photo is my daughter Kimberly with a set I made for the dress she is wearing. These gals are a life saver in many ways but as far as the jewelry business goes I could not do it without them all. When I come up with a new technique I like to have them wear it for a while so we can discover any defects or even just areas I would like to tighten up. They are instructed to wear it as much of the day as possible and sleep in it if they can, wear it in the shower, etc... so I can see just where I stand. I like to be as sure as I can that when my designs leave my studio, they will not come back! Thank you girls and your mother/grandmother adores you!
